Just playMission 1/6
Sorting loses the row order
- Ten classes and what each one took sit on one tab.
- Sort them, then try RANK and LARGE on the same numbers.
Do thisMission 2/6
Place every row with RANK
- Build the place column from the sample.
- Every row keeps its spot, and RANK works each place out.
Do thisMission 3/6
The top three with LARGE
- Build the report under the table from the sample.
- Ask LARGE for each of the top three, and work out the lead.
Do thisMission 4/6
How far behind the leader
- Build the place and behind columns, then the spread line.
- Every gap is worked out from the biggest takings.
Do thisMission 5/6
Shared places and skipped places
- Build the place column from the sample again.
- Two classes took the same, so read what RANK does with them.
Do thisMission 6/6
Report the takings, not places
- Build the places and the report from the sample.
- Every report line asks the takings column, never the places.
★★★
Run cleared.
🚀 Push it
- 🟢Add a line to the report that shows the smallest takings in the table.
- 🟡Add a bottom-three block, asking the column for its lowest three figures.
- 🔴Say what the place column would do if two classes tied for the top.
🌐 Make it for real
Open a blank spreadsheet in Google Sheets and build the sample results sheet, every place worked out.
Twist: change one class's takings and check that the places and the top three follow.

✅ Watch for
- Places typed by hand after sorting the list by takings
- A RANK list left unlocked, so lower rows weigh fewer classes
- Report lines that ask LARGE about the place column
